Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training
Schedule for the 2017 training is held over 4 sessions. Each session will be on Friday and Saturday from 9am to 6pm. All four sessions are required for completion of the training program.

Session 1: June 9/10
Session 2: July 7/8
Session 3: August 11/12
Session 4: September 8/9


Yoga Alliance Registered Prenatal Yoga School (RPYS)

This comprehensive prenatal teacher training includes asana practice, demonstration teaching, class observations, group discussions, and personal interest study. During the training, you will have the opportunity to learn from experts who offer additional insight and perspective, including physicians, physical therapists, doulas, midwifes, massage therapists, yoga therapists, and more. Upon completion of the training, you will be able to teach prenatal yoga with confidence and skill.

What do graduates have to say about the teacher training?

Completion of the UPY Teacher Training program will qualify eligible applicants for the Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT) designation with the Yoga Alliance. Additional practicum/demonstration teaching hours are required in order to register with the Yoga Alliance as a Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher.

Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training
Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training is a 15 hour certification program designed for teachers that want to work specifically with new mothers during the postpartum period. The training covers everything from how to modify for new mothers in a public/mixed-level class to how to create and establish a postnatal-specific yoga class.

Topics include the wide range of modifications needed to address different levels of healing after birth, how to check for and monitor Diastasis Recti, practices to improve pelvic floor function and health, considerations for anatomical/physiological recovery and more!

The training consists of 4 sections. Section 1 is available for 3 hours of Yoga Alliance CEU’s as an individual course. All 4 sections are required for the postnatal certification and are approved for 12 hours of YA CEU’s. Additionally, the full postnatal yoga certification training is approved for SMS elective hours for the Anusara advanced teacher training modules (500 hr).

Tuition is $432 for the Postnatal Yoga Certification ($125 for section 1 only)

Saturday, May 13th- Saturday October 14th (Section 4 non-contact hours)
